Comments: EVA is the only real reason to visit this eatery. However, the BBQ beef sandwiches are terrific and the slaw is the perfect foil. Sit and enjoy under one of their umbrella tables with one or more friends!

Comments: I was born in Glendale, and now live in Texas. To this day I have been searching the Lone Star State for an equal barbecue sandwich. Yes the bun's are generic, but I would have them no other way. Yes the meat might as well be a chowder, but it is by far the most tender I have ever had. The beans and lemonade are so incredibly unique I could pick them out of any number. As for being bland, this is only the second I have ever seen that doesn't drown out barbecues real flavor with the sauce and over done rubs. If you want it to taste like sauce, drink a bottle of sauce.

Comments: One of the best kept secrets, no frills, no eat in, just dynamite take out and the best bbq sauce anywhere! May not have an indoors but what it lacks in a building it makes up for in flavor. Established over 50 years ago it maintains the great taste that is known throughout the valley. The bar-b-q style is not sweet and sour like tony romas, nor do they boil their ribs and then pour sauce on them. They slow cook all their meat over real fire, with real hickory, and fruit wood smoke. Used to be a convenient location when I used to work at Dreamworks. Hole in the wall place has pulled beef and pork barbecue, with beans and cole slaw -- what else do you need? if you're in the area you have to try it. we usualy get the okie pork sandwich but on the weekends they have baby back ribs that are "to die for". if you try the hot sauce watch out.

Comments: Simply amazing, like many other people someone (my dad) turned me on to this place awhile ago and I love it still to this day. Be aware this is some sloppy (slightly fatty) meat, not your restaurant style BBQ Sandwich, more of a side of the road place. Just try it, it's not for everyone but I think its good.

Comments: I've been coming here since my brother turned me on to this place back in 1978 when I was 12. It's exactly the same! This place is consistently a great sandwich place. I'm no expert in BBQ, but what I can tell you is there is no other place like this anywhere around here. My favorite is the Okie pork sandwich, more tender and flavorful than the beef or ham. They ladle the sauce on each sandwich, so it can get messy, but who cares. I love spicy food, and they do have a spicy sauce here, but I prefer the original/regular sauce. They serve fresh-squeezed lemonade too. And their coleslaw is always fresh and crunchy and light. Not that heavy, gummy, over-mayonnaised generic stuff some other places would serve. I'd give this place a 3 thumbs up, but I only have too. Hope you like it as much as I do!
